Bio

Sam Barzilay is the Director of Exhibitions of the

New York Photo Festival.

Prior to joining the nascent organization in its noble quest, he was a staff member of the VII Photo Agency in Paris and New York.

In his previous lives he has been a social documentary photographer traveling extensively throughout Central Asia and the Caucasus, as well as a rather successful artist, most recently exhibiting his work in a solo exhibition at the Oslo ByMuseum in Norway.

He is currently residing in New York City, awaiting marching orders from the voices in his head.
